‘I survived the black bear sightings’ T-shirts to benefit local girl

The black bear is helping bring the community together for a good cause.

A local business owner shared a silly T-shirt that read “I survived the black bear sightings” as a joke, but when he received an overwhelming response that many people wanted to purchase one, he decided to do some good. The shirts will now sell for  $15 with proceeds going to Stella Usiak of North Tonawanda, an amazing young lady who has been battling leukemia since 2011. Read more about Stella here.

“We volunteered to help remodel her house during her transplant. Our company did a bunch of stuff there,” said Brian Markovich, co-owner of 2 Guys Construction. “I made a joke post about T-shirts earlier and people were actually interested in buying one. Ironically, a local printer sent me a joke picture and then I hatched this idea.”

T-shirts are $15. They will be available in safety green, safety orange and pink. Submasters in NT will be selling them and offering a free slice of pizza with your donation. For more information, call Markovich at 716-946-3715.
