Did you know Mercy Flight WNY’s lifesaving mission of safely transporting more than 26,000 patients since 1981 is often done without regard to a patient’s insurance status or ability to pay?
Just last year, Mercy Flight forgave $1.4 million for care provided to uninsured or underinsured patients. The nonprofit is not only saving lives, they are also relieving the financial stress that comes along with it.
But they can’t do it without the community’s help. Each mission costs an average of $1,420, which is why fundraisers like the upcoming Lakefest 2017 are so important.
The 14th annual fundraiser for Mercy Flight WNY will be held 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, July 22 at Veteran’s Memorial Community Park, 7000 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls. The event will feature live music from Joyrode, Nik & the Nice Guys, and The PopShow Band. There will also be a Chinese auction, raffles and games, helicopter rides, and food and drinks.
Tickets are $40 presale and $50 at the gate. Help support those who save our lives. It’s sure to be a great time!
