Brian Lorentz of Lancaster has been praying for an organ donor since finding out he was diagnosed with non-alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver, a condition most likely caused by diabetes.
Lorentz has to make continuous trips to the hospital to have an abdominal tap procedure done to provide some relief from the discomfort of his condition. This procedure is also very painful. The only permanent way to get him better and to live a healthy, happy life is a liver transplant.
The Lancaster Bee did a story on Lorentz in the hopes it might help him find a match. He also reached out to Sweet Buffalo to share as well.
“I’m hoping that one day soon I’ll be called for a transplant and then I can get married and start a new life together with my fiancee,” said Lorentz in a Facebook post. “Please share if you or know someone who can help me!”
To be a donor for Lorentz, you must be at least 18 years old and younger than 60, be a healthy weight, have B or O type blood and be 5 feet 10 inches or 6 feet 3 inches tall.
