Every year for the past 12 years, a Lancaster neighborhood gets into the holiday spirit for a good cause and this year is no different! Stonybrook Shines for Others is putting on their elaborate light display again fo raise funds for Devin’s Message Foundation, a nonprofit that helps families cope with bullying. The organization was started in honor of Devin Daniel Kurzdofer, a sophomore at Kenmore West who tragically took his own life.
There are now thousands of lights on dozens of homes on Stonhbrook Drive that guests can enjoy for free, but donations are encouraged to help this important cause. If you can’t attend and would still like to make a donation, you may do so here: www.stonybrookshines.com.
The lights will shine now through January 1. To date, the neighborhood has raised $117,680 for local children’s charities.
