Buy yourself some peanuts and cracker jacks because Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue will be facing off with SPCA in Niagara for a friendly kickball game this weekend!
“Each organization will be represented by its volunteers with the winner securing bragging rights,” said Nola Cornett-Swistak, fundraising chair for Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue.
The shelter vs rescue kickball game is set to take place 2 p.m., Sunday, July 31 at Reservoir State Park, 577 Witmer Road, Niagara Falls. The event includes a cash raffle as well as a kicking contest with proceeds benefiting the rescue and the shelter. There will be food and merchandise available for sale, as well as free kid’s activities.
“All proceeds will directly benefit both organizations in their joint mission to provide compassionate care to as many companion animals in need as possible until they all have safe, loving homes,” said Cornett-Swistak. “Neither organization can achieve this goal without the love and support of its community members.”
