A local photographer did something very unique for her holiday photo shoots this season by asking customers to donate dog food to receive a discount on their session!
Emily Allen of Tailor Mayde Photography was able to collect more than 500 pounds of dog food for Niagara SPCA from the dog food drive she hosted as part of her holiday shoots! The first batch was donated a few weeks ago and today she presented the shelter with the second!
“I have the ability to reach a lot of animal lovers through my work. People that are eager and happy to help. I’m always trying to think of ways that I can pay it forward. After all, dogs are the driving force of my business so it only makes sense.
I thought that since I’m already offering holiday photos, a dog food drive would be an easy way to allow people the opportunity to participate, save money and donate at the same time.
Every single person that participated, donated. Some even donated more than one bag!
My full time job involves doing something that I absolutely love. Combine that with helping animals…it doesn’t get any better than this.”
We think that anyone who helps our local shelter animals is awesome and Emily is no exception! She also donated her time and talents to helping the shelter with its 2020 calendar which you can purchase for $10 each and all proceeds help the animals!
