A local woman has been silently helping the elderly book their vaccine appointments for the past few weeks and it’s been quite a success. She’s booked more than 1,200 appointments for those having a difficult time finding an appointment or for those feeling frustration during the process.
Jessica Stephens says she and a small group of good neighbors recognized the need for help and decided to put their skills to action.
“We search for appointments over and over until we grab one,” she said. “We complete the sign up, an email and/or text is sent to the patient from the appointment site. We also follow up with a phone call to make sure the individual received the email confirmation about their appointment as well.”
