During times of crisis, it’s a beautiful thing when the community comes together to help one another and that’s exactly what one loyal customer did to help the employees of a local restaurant he frequents.
Vince Karam, owner of Greek to Me Restaurant, made the following post on the restaurant’s Facebook page announcing that a customer surprised him with a $3,000 check for him to take care of the crew. As many know, restaurant owners and their employees are taking a huge hit due to the coronavirus as they are no longer allowed to seat patrons.
“If I ever had to imagine how George felt in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ I kinda have an idea. I have been in business for 18 years and have never had a customer do such a kind act. One of our regulars brought in this check for me to take care of the crew. We are blown away and thankful to our awesome customers. Have no fear, we will outlast this. Thank you for your continued support.”
