A Niagara Falls senior was finally able to have her wish of riding in a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow come true.
Thanks to Senior Wishes, a nonprofit that grants wishes to seniors in Erie and Niagara Counties, Rose Cronwell and her friends were taken to Kelkenberg Farm in Clarence for a St. Patrick’s Day sleigh ride. What makes this even more exciting is that nobody knew if this wish would be possible because of our mostly warm winter. However, Mother Nature eventually cooperated and Cronwell was able to have a wonderful day she will never forget.
Friends were even able to celebrate her wish come true with a surprise bucket-themed party where guests watched as Cronwell crossed off the last item on her list.
This is one of the many wishes Senior Wishes aims to grant throughout the year. To learn how to apply for a wish, visit www.seniorwishes.org or call 716-508-2121.
