Leontae’ Parker of North Buffalo is only 15 years old and while many teens his age are wishing for the simple things in life, Parker only wishes for one very important thing; a living kidney donor.
Parker suffers from a rare disease called Nephrotic Syndrome and another disease, Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis, FSGS. He received a transplant is 2009, but unfortunately that kidney failed right away. A living kidney donor would save his life. He’s undergoing dialysis and has spent most of his young life in a hospital, but he remains strong.
The young man is described as a kid who lights up any room he’s in. He loves wrestling and has a great sense of humor.
Parker has a blood type “O.”
If you’re interested in becoming a donor please call Parker’s mom at 716-472-6441 or email rmbrooks@live.com. You may also contact his transplant coordinator at ECMC by calling 716-898-5001.
