A Hamburg family is mourning the loss of their own, Kerri Wilson, who sadly lost her battle to leukemia.
“She was fun loving, outgoing and very stubborn. She loved the Buffalo Bills and her family and all she ever wanted out of life was to be a mom and would do everything to have children. Her family meant the world to her and had it not been for them she would’ve never fought this long to stay alive,” said Amanda Tarasik, a close friend.
Wilson, who is originally from Orchard Park, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in 2016 and received chemotherapy at Roswell. She then underwent a bone marrow transplant when problems started to arise. Her new bone marrow was attacking every organ in her body. She was diagnosed with viral menigitis and was placed in the ICU. She lost her battle on March 6.
Wilson leaves behind her fiance, Frank, and young twins, Emma and Myla. A GoFundMe page has been created to help the family with expenses so they have time to grieve. If you would like to make a donation, you may do so at www.gofundme.com/kerriwilsonmemorialfund
Our prayers are with the family at this difficult time. ?
