For those lucky enough to know Sebastian Bradley, a 9-year-old boy with terminal brain cancer who has stolen the hearts of everyone whose heard his story, you know that he’s as amazing as it gets. His mom, Eli, is so appreciative of everyone’s love and support that she wanted the community to know that even though his health is deteriorating fast, he’s the happiest he’s ever been, especially this week when he made a promise to the love of his life.
Sebastian and his girlfriend, Elle, are best friends. They met at the Sabres home opener in an event for Camp Good Days (Elle’s mom is a cancer survivor).
“The day after they met he told me he was in love with this girl and me and her mom became friends and got them together,” said Eli.
The two have been inseparable ever since. They go on fun dates, play games at home, and just enjoy everything about each other.
“They say they love each other and care. It’s really sweet, said Eli.
So when Sebastian told his mom he wanted to pop a question to Elle, she didn’t hesistate to help. They went right to the store to pick out the perfect promise ring for the beautiful young lady.
“This has given me the chance to have a new bond with my boy… we always talk about the future, but now we talk about how he feels about her.”
On Monday, the brave boy stood by Elle holding a ring box behind his back and when she turned around, he asked her if she would give him the honor of wearing a promise ring he bought her, something he had wanted to give her since the day he met her. She, of course, said yes.
“He promised to love her until they grow up,” said Eli.
