Sophia the Fierce Inc., a nonprofit organization started by 9-year-old Sophia Benintende who passed away after a brave and courageous battle with Ewing Sarcoma, is the winner of the 2024 Cellino Plumbing Truck Wrap Contest.
For the past few months local nonprofits competed to get the most votes to win the contest. The two nonprofits with the most votes then had to present in front of the Cellino Plumbing team why they should win the contest and Sophia the Fierce received the most votes again from employees, winning the competition!
Sophia the Fierce Inc. will now have their organization’s branding on a Cellino Plumbing truck, and receive $25 from every AC & furnace tune up from the truck for an entire year!
Tonight on the Sweet Buffalo segment on News 4 Buffalo, Kristina Benintende and Jillmarie Giardina will talk about what it means to them to win the contest, what they plan to do with the funding, and how grateful they are to the community for voting for them and of course, Cellino Plumbing.
There will also be the Sophia the Fierce Inc. third annual Lemonade Stand & Truck Wrap Reveal from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17 at Main-Transit Firehall Pavillion in Williamsville so save the date!
