Maddie is a 3-year-old dog who is having a hard time adjusting to life at the shelter. She doesn’t like other dogs, so being around them stresses her out.
She’s also a bit shy. She’d love to go to a home where she is someone’s only pet. An experienced pet owner would be best. Our wonderful volunteer, Nicole, has been working with Maddie for a few months now, spending one-on-one time with her and teaching her commands.
“Maddie is a good learner and she is also very affectionate and playful when she gets to know you. She doesn’t really understand ‘personal space,’” said Nicole Schug, volunteer.
