It was heartbreaking news in the City of North Tonawanda when many learned a sweet dog named Sam Sam had to be rescued from her own home after her owners starved and abused her.
But thankfully, this sweet girl is on her way to better days. An outpouring of support from the community helped pay for her medical bills at Green Acres Animal Hospital where she has been giving the love and kindness she deserves. And even better news, she could be going to her new forever home next week.
North Tonawanda Dog Control Officer Rick Salisbury confirmed with Sweet Buffalo that she has a meet and greet on Sunday with a wonderful family and their dog. If all goes well with their pup, Sam Sam will go to her new home next Wednesday and begin living the life she deserved all along.
“I’m very excited for her to start living a happy life,” said Salisbury.
We are, too. ❤️
