Anna Schwartz was just 27 years old and about to give birth to her daughter, Eloise, when she was diagnosed with Autosomal Dominant Tubulo-Interstitial kidney disease and had to deliver her daughter 2 weeks early. The disease is rare and has affected her family as well. Her daughter also has a 50 percent chance of developing the disease.
Recently, Schwartz had a medical scare and had to spend the day in the emergency room where she learned her kidneys are only functioning at 2 percent. She is now in dire need of a healthy kidney.
