Forseti Protection Group, a Buffalo based emergency strategy and compliance consulting firm made up of former law enforcement officers who are passionate about keeping your company and its employees safe, is hosting an Active Shooter Compliance Seminar 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017 at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo, 2 Fountain Plaza, Buffalo.

“Emergency preparedness continues to be an afterthought for most businesses. You need more than IT security. We live in a society where violent, tragic workplace events are happening at a higher frequency. We want to equip every company with strategies to keep their assets safe and save the lives of their employees,” said Mario Rodriguez, owner of Foresti Protection Group.

The goal of the Active Shooter Compliance Seminar is to get the initial conversation started about emergency preparedness that can translate from small events all the way through active shooter situations and bomb threats. Businesses are invited to attend the seminar to put together a basic template that allows them to start thinking about these proactive measures.

“Is your company fully prepared for emergencies, specifically active shooter emergencies? Are there proper response measures in place for different types of emergencies and are your employees trained on what to do? These are the questions we want businesses to start asking themselves,” said Rodriguez.

Topics will include pinpointing safety weaknesses specific to your company and developing strategies that will ensure employee safety and reduce company asset loss; Learning warning signs of potential active shooters -useful in any space, not specific to workplace; and learning and understanding emergency response trends used by law enforcement to further develop response strategies.

Resources will be provided to bring back to your company to use as education tools to begin implanting emergency response strategies right away. You may also receive an insurance cost reduction through implementing protocols for active shooter emergencies – an overall reduction in company liability in emergency situations.

“A secure workplace is more important and necessary than ever.  Let us educate you, so you can empower your company and keep your people and assets safe. Forseti Protection Group is excited to introduce you to the future of emergency response strategies, trainings and implementation,” said Rodriguez.
