Santa Claus has been making his rounds to visit sick children at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester this week and today he met one very special baby, Ryker.
Ryker just had heart surgery. He was born with ASD and multiple VSD as well as pulmonary vein that was kinked, so he had the surgery to fix his precious heart. This is his first Christmas and since it has to be at the hospital, Ryker’s family was beyond grateful for Santa’s visit.
“It was amazing to have Santa here. He had elves hand out gifts to every kid and they took pictures and put it in a snow globe for us. It was the sweetest thing I’ve ever experienced. It’s so hard to be in a hospital around the holidays, especially since it’s for our little guy having heart surgery. My heart goes out to every parent that has to endure all of this. And I just pray for everyone to have their babies home with them,” said Meaghan Roliczek, Ryker’s mom.
Ryker’s mom also said the hospital held a little Christmas party. They had a lunch sponsored by Dinosaur BBQ for all the families in the children’s unit to enjoy.
