It’s pink and it’s fabulous and from what we hear the sugar cookies are to die for! Mundy Cakes on 220 Allen Street should need no introduction, but we’re here to give them one anyways.
Mundy Cakes was opened by Amanda Bernardini, 29, who has always had a love for baking.
“I’ve been baking since I was little and I wanted to spend my time doing something I love all the time while being able to meet new awesome people and be creative,” she said.
But it took a lot of hard work to make her dream a reality. Bernardini started baking out of her home and built up her clientele before an opportunity on Allen opened up. She renovated the space, got the licenses, and the rest is history.
“It took a lot of hard work and I had so much support from my friends, family, and the community,” she said.
But what keeps customers coming back for more? Mundy Cakes features custom sugar cookies, an array of cupcakes, cookies, pastries, custom cakes, tipico coffee, and soon they will add ice cream! Bernardini is crazy talented, so much so that many of her creations look too good to be true!
“Fan favorites are the pop tart, cookie dough, and lemon blueberry cupcake,” said Bernardini.
Every square inch of the bakery is also Instagram worthy, so bring your cameras!
“I just wanted it to be funky and different, not your average bakery.”
