Bentley Hayden is an amazing 4-year-old boy who is battling stage IV neuroblastoma for the third time in his life. His strength and bravery over the last three years have captured people’s hearts near and far. The WNY community has shared in celebrating his clear scans and we have cried when he relapsed not once, but twice.
A cancer diagnosis can take a toll on even the deepest of pockets. The emotional weight of fighting cancer with your child is only complicated by the financial weight of this fight. The Hayden family had to leave their home and move their children across the state to be closer to Bentley’s doctor. Between moving, treatment options not covered by insurance, cost of travel over the years and lost wages – the Hayden family has incurred significant costs associated with Bentley’s fight.
The Battle for Bentley fundraiser will raise crucial funds for Bentley and his family at a time he needs it most. A parent should never have to worry about financial means when making decisions for the wellbeing of their child.
