Do you remember our story on an 11-year-old boy named Graysen Ripic who drew a photo of Josh Allen using only his mouth? This incredible young man never lets his disability stop him from doing what he loves and now 26 Shirts is recognizing his talents too!
From now through April 12, you can buy a “Graysen’s Masterpiece”
shirt to help Graysen’s mom with the costs of her son’s medical care. Graysen has a rare disorder that prevents him from using his arms and legs so that’s why everyone was so impressed by how well Graysen drew a picture of Josh Allen using his mouth, something many of us wouldn’t be able to do as well with our hands.
After learning about Graysen’s story, the community rallied to make him smile. Bellreng’s Towing & Automotive sent Graysen and his mom to a Buffalo Bills game with the best seats in the house. Buffalo Bills reps gave Graysen a signed Josh Allen helmet and we were able to raise close to $3,000 through community donations on Sweet Buffalo. Now 26 Shirts is stepping up to help. Graysen’s mom Jeanni Midolo has this to say about the outpouring of love and support for her son.
“Seeing that Graysen’s art work has now been printed on a shirt thanks to 26 Shirts acknowledgment of Graysens’s abilities has been a very sweet experience. I can admit that during our everyday life, we are rushing through, and as a result we do not have the ability to really stop and be thankful for what Graysen is able to do. The community outpouring of support has been a very humble experience for us. As Graysen’s mother, seeing that so many people support Graysen and I on our journey is an indescribable feeling and I am forever grateful for the generosity of others and not just monetarily, but the well wishes, prayers, and words of encouragement too as that is what gets us through our struggles. Graysen has been in awe for the support he has received too. It’s amazing to me how unaffected he is by the attention he has received. He is incredibly appreciative and excited but at the same time he is confused as to why all the commotion. I feel incredibly proud to have raised such a humble and caring young boy. He’s a fighter to say the least.”
